Tracey Alker – "I feel I'm supported and can ask questions or advice."

Thank you to Tracey for giving her permission to share these thoughts, and for so generously sharing this lovely photo.

Chronic exhaustion is such an isolating and debilitating illness that leaches the joy from life and pulls us down in a miserable spiral of isolation and pain.

This is Tracey, enjoying getting out and about on her scooter with her dog Billy. Getting outdoors and having fun is such a vital part of recovery and is often one of the first goals I help clients to work towards.

Tracey responded to being asked how she had found working with Alison.

  • I feel I'm supported and can ask questions or advice. I'm setting goals and they feel good when I achieve them.

  • I deserve to look after myself as I've been ill a long time.

  • After my session with Alison, she sends me a nice easy to follow breakdown which I really like as I get myself in a muddle without them. I can see things clearly when I read what we've done and the next thing to do. I really need that to look back on to keep a clear head at the moment.

  • She is also very wise on the medical stuff and gives good advice in group sessions.
